How to use a CSV file for the posts of your mailing list

First, let's see what it is, and why we want to make one?

CSV means Comma Separated Value, so that means a "value", separated by commas. Usually it is in XL or a txt file done.

A "value" is explained in a context follows.

CSV files are the most common type of program format most widely used software to import the data. This means that if we want more than one hundred names and addresses (values) in a "mass mailing program" we usually use can put a CSVFile.

The CSV file should have all the names and addresses in it, and then we could program our software and hit the "import function to each of the names and addresses (values) to load with a click instead of hours input hand.

But, as you can to get the names and addresses in the CSV file in the first place? It depends where they come from, if we simply extract the names and addresses (Values) from one program to another we are often able to choose"export" a file in CSV format. If we have a list of "values" that, for example, in Microsoft Word or another document type, you should first copy and paste it into an XL document.

After all the "values" that we use are to be included in the XL document, where each value in a separate column. We can then save the document as a CSV file XL and upload it to our software. Easy!

Before continuing, please note it is frequently necessary to have these values in our CSV filemay in any particular order, for example, some software requires a column''in 'Name' and columns 'B' to be 'somebody' or vice versa and etc … So it's a good idea to check first.

Some software allows us to choose "where each" value will be loaded, so that in this case, the first order in our CSV file is nothing but the loading process, which we are asked to select the "fields for insert the "values" a.

Well, as a document of a series XLCSV file!

In the first paper XL with the information you want to upload. Go to "File / a", then select the option to save the file type "and scroll down to" CSV (comma delimited)

Then the second call "WHATEVERYOUWANT" and click Save.

Third time you open a window, lots of questions.

Fourth Answer "OK" or "Yes", then you are more than two or three more windows to get one after another. Answer all done with "OK" or "YES", until you close the workbook. You'll get more windows.Just answer "OK" and "YES" until the end

Fifth Go to your software and find the import function to search your file and upload it!

Sixth Then check your "mailing list" to see the results!
Your CSV will look like a look if you saved it correctly!

If not for you, make sure it is in this format.

You can see that play at this a bit, 'but until you end up with an XL document in CSV format, you should be able to load onlyMore than any program. Of course this is not limited to e-mail lists you can use this format for a number of different applications.

What is an IT strategy and you have one?

In my role as consultant for IT strategies, one of the most interesting conversations often arises when customers write their current strategy of "gift" for.

Common IT strategies include statements like "Our strategy is to also SOA" or "Our strategy is to buy or the first and to build competitive advantage," Our strategy is to offer superior quality support and customer service. These statements can be supported by abundantThe documents, including architectural diagrams, and white papers praised specific technological solutions or approaches.

We often hear of "Architecture Strategies", "Networking Strategies", "integration strategies" or "Service" strategies.

Although each of them is an element of IT strategy that none of them provides a complete IT strategy in mind. The individual elements may serve as a guide, a software developer or an engineer, like going on sometheir daily activities, but offer no guidance on topics such as technology management company to invest, to spend the company for maximum benefit, or if those who focus on the acquisition of new facilities or improve existing ones.

For an IT strategy, the benefits of his company to a company he should be combined with management and central, integrated, externally oriented concept of how information technology function is supportedBusiness in achieving their goals. An IT strategy should be widely available by the current economic and technological environment and the organization must currently have the capacity and resources for the proposed strategy, or at least the possibility to easily obtain these resources and capabilities to match supply.

Since this involves an IT strategy must be based on and aligned to business strategy, without which no department can ever succeed.

If avery clear business strategy exists, the following key elements must be addressed within IT strategy is:

What specific business functions before, we add the maximum value with your partner?

– General services (such as your e-mail) is that all companies are likely if the.
– The initiatives and capital resources to those areas more expensive to support organizational goals are aligned.
Some segmentscan be better served, instead of outsourcing maintenance internally with partial or total

According to How to develop a partnership with these companies?

– Understanding of the objectives and drivers for each business area
– Demonstrate understanding of the challenges and opportunities for businesses

Third How can we help the company succeed?

Portfolio Management
– ValueAnalysis
– Options Theory

Fourth speed and sequence of actions?

– Well defined and documented implementation plan in circulation and the parties agreed

How can we obtain fifth economic returns?

– Clear business case for the services
– Benefits Realisation review after the implementation

In these organizations, we see both a comprehensive and coherent business strategy andinformation technology strategy, companies in line with the objectives and covers the most important of these points, then most of the IT department is seen as a crucial business enabler support, and the relationship between business units and IT function is strong. Although this does not guarantee business success, is certainly a recipe for a support of high technological value and cost for each company.
